Lynsey enjoys a wide and varied music career as an operatic soprano, festival director and producer of music education projects. She has sung lead roles across the UK from Violetta to Rosalinde, Tosca to Elvira, with companies including Dorset Opera Festival, Buxton International Festival, Iford Opera, Opera Della Luna. Notable concert appearances include such venues as the Royal Opera House, South Bank, St. Martin-in-the-Fields. As Producer, Lynsey creates concerts, shows and opera education events for theatres, major music organisations and festivals. She is Founder and Artistic Director of Celebrate Voice, an award-winning festival in Salisbury celebrating the best international voices in opera, jazz, music theatre, folk and a cappella, alongside a thriving community-based programme. www.lynseydocherty.co.uk
Robert Gildon studied singing at Manhattan School of Music, New York, the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival and the Britten Pears School in Snape. Recent work includes Moon Hares & Fairy Queen Project (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment), Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène ( New Sussex Opera) La Fille du Regiment (Opera della luna at Buxton Festival), Time Capsule Project (Grange Festival) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Garsington Opera) He has also performed roles for London Symphony Orchestra, Grange Park Opera, Celebrate Voice, Cambridge Handel Opera, Opera Project and Bampton Classical Opera. He has performed several times at Iford. He lives in Suffolk with 4 dogs, 9 goats, 4 peacocks, chickens, bees and a tortoise.
Michael Waldron is the founder and Artistic Director of the London Choral Sinfonia. He has worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, London Mozart Players, Camden Symphony Orchestra and Tonbridge Philharmonic. He is conductor and Musical Director of Islington Choral Society and of Epworth Choir. He is Artistic Director of London Lyric Opera, and also holds positions with Guildford Choral Society and the University of West London Chamber Choir.Highlights this season include a debut conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra; another debut conducting Polyphony apart of the Swansea Festival, and two guest appearances conducting Tonbridge Philharmonic. Other recent projects include projects with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and City of London Choir; as well as conducting Opera Della Luna’s critically-acclaimed production of Monckton’s The Arcadiansat Wilton’s Music Hall.
Celebrate Voice is a Salisbury-based festival of song, welcoming and celebrating world class musicians from all over the globe. The festival provides unique up-close experiences in unusual venues, presenting nightly celebrity performances of opera, jazz, music theatre, folk, a cappella and cabaret, together with a daytime programme of events for the whole community. Celebrate Voice also produces events throughout the year, with summer galas and Christmas extravaganzas, and was recognised as The Pride of Wiltshire (Wiltshire Life Magazine Awards) for its services to music making in the county and commitment to music in education.
