Iford Arts is renowned for its innovative opera productions with musicians, singers and directors of the very highest calibre. Increasingly we are becoming recognised also as a venue which offers opportunities to the rising germination of young singers whose striking talents deserve encouragement and recognition, Iford arts New Generation Artists Scheme is the nursery for our current cluster of singing starlets 2017.
The New Generation concert of well known arias and small ensembles, offers you the opportunity to hear as soloist four rising starts of this exciting new wave of signers. They have been handpicked for our scheme from a large pool of applicants, and an audition process by the directors of La bohéme and Jephtha, Oliver Gooch and Christopher Cowell. Their role in the current production is of covers for four of the mail roles. At this exciting concert they get their chance to show an Iford audience what they can do when they stop into the limelight: a thrilling fore taste of their future in principal roles.
Curated and accompanied by the Director of the scheme, Oilier Gooch, this delightful cloister concert offers you the opportunity to hear these exciting young professionals al the outset of their careers. The programme of one hours’s duration will e repeated twice to allow you the opportunity to picnic in the magical gardens before or after it.
Seated cloister concerts begin at 6.15pm or 8.30pm
